The New York Times recently published an article about the emotional impact of cheating in divorce cases. More specifically, the emotional impact of sleeping with someone other than one’s spouse in the marriage bed. I read this article with some interest. Needless to say, I have had many clients whose spouses have developed new relationships, or have moved on themselves.

The Reno Gazette Journal reported on January 2, 2011 that the first baby born in the year 2011 in Reno, Nevada was to a same sex couple at Renown Medical Center. The newspaper didn’t say a word about them being a same sex couple (good for them) but the couple’s picture was in the newspaper.
The Reno Gazette Journal had an article on the front page today, January 3, 2011, titled “Sparks couple feels heartache, elation on way to adoption” by Guy Clifton. It is an inspiring couple that didn’t give up hope after their first chance at adoption failed.
